Rovaniemi is the perfect "getaway " destination located on the Arctic Circle. The home town of Santa Claus offers spectacular views of the Northern Lights from late August until early April. Magic husky outings and snowmobile tours through the forest and over frozen lakes and rivers are the most popular activities in winter. In summer you can enjoy the glow of the Midnight Sun and book a riverboat trip over the Ounasjoki river to a local reindeer farm or just slow down and enjoy the simple beauty of untouched nature.
